American Studies is hosting a forum on the perils and promise of online teaching this comingFriday, April 24 at 3:00 pm in Webster 101. Faculty and graduate students interested in getting started or improving their online teaching are invited to attend. The forum is being organized in concert with Information Technology Services and Mānoa’s Center for Teaching excellence and will feature short presentations by experienced online teachers and demonstrations of new tools to foster student engagement. Please join us to learn about and discuss the challenges and opportunities involved in this pedagogical arena.

This forum is to open a larger series, which will take place every Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm untilMay 15. If you are interested in participating in the whole workshop series, please review the program and register here. Graduate students (and faculty for that matter) who successfully complete the series will develop their own course modules and will also receive a certification badge.
