From Moving Images of the Pacific Islands
It was a tale of two seasons. After the 2008s Florida Gator Football team began the season with solid wins over Hawaii, Miami, and Tennessee, the Ole Miss Rebels stunned the Gators in the Swamp. Following the shocking defeat, Gator quarterback Tim Tebow gave an emotional speech in which he apologized to Gator Nation and promised to lead a newly motivated team into the rest of its schedule. The Gators would go on to steamroll all of their opponents including rivals LSU, Georgia and Florida State. Florida's hard-fought 4th quarter comeback in the SEC Championship Game over Alabama earned the Gators a trip to the BCS final. Florida then took its high-flying offense and stingy defense to Miami, defeating top-ranked Oklahoma for the National Championship.--Container."
