Description

Unedited footage of the port call of the newly appointed Japanese Ambassador to the United States Tsuneo Matsudaira and his family in Honolulu, Hawaii on their way to Washington, D.C. aboard the Shunyo-maru. They are met by Admiral Saburo Hyakutake who was in command of a training squadron returning to Japan with cadets from Etajima Naval Academy after a world cruise begun in Oct. 1924. Includes festivities at the Japanese Consulate and a panoramic view of Honolulu taken from Aloha Tower.
